Mountain Weekend
For Labor Day weekend, we went to the mountains with some of our friends and their children. We had a wonderful time, and there was surely never a dull moment with 4 couples and 5 children! We arrived late Friday night, and since Eliza had napped in the car, she didn't fall asleep until about 4 am. Yes, you read that correctly - 4 am. It was a LONG night, and it was somewhat reminiscent of our first night home with her as a newborn! The next day we took the girls (Eliza and her friend Anne) to Looking Glass Falls and the fish hatchery. They had a great time exploring, and afterwards we ate lunch at the soda shop in downtown Brevard. With the girls only eating goldfish and strawberry ice cream for lunch, I think we are definitely in the running for parents of the year!
On Sunday, we walked around downtown and enjoyed the fresh air and cool weather. It certainly was a nice break from the hot weather in Charleston.
The kids had a ball playing with each other all the time, and the adults enjoying some free moments during naptime and bedtime! We certainly can't wait to go back soon!

Hopefully I can upload pictures soon. Blogger is not cooperating....
